About Us
The Greek Students Society is a registered student organization at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. The organization acts as a supportive hub for full-time students, providing a platform to share their heritage and expand their personal and academic potential while studying at SIUC.
Mission, Vision & Goals
Mission
To promote Greek culture at the SIU campus, provide impactful community services in Carbondale, and assist in the orientation of new Greek students.
Vision
To cultivate strong mutual interests and lasting friendships among Greek, American, and international students by offering a supportive program that eases homesickness and extends members' knowledge.
Goals
Offer an engaging program of social, educational, athletic, and civic activities; maintain an active and non-discriminatory network of full-time students; host regular and annual general meetings to manage organizational affairs; and collect reasonable annual dues to fund societal operations and authorized bills.
