About Us
The United Asian American Council (UAAC) is a registered student organization established to bring targeted programming, dedicated support, and engaging social events to the Asian American population. It functions as the unifying agent for Asian American students on campus, taking full responsibility for coordinating diverse social, cultural, and educational initiatives.

Mission
To serve the diverse needs of Asian American students by providing a welcoming environment of academic and emotional support, while actively promoting meaningful social interactions and productive working alliances.
Vision
To serve as a central, unifying force on campus that cultivocates strong leadership skills among its members and builds bridges across student groups.
Goals
Offer dynamic educational and social programs designed for Asian Americans and the broader Southern Illinois University community; facilitate heightened cultural awareness, positive interactions, and deep mutual respect among diverse student populations; and foster sustainable environments that nurture student growth both inside and outside the classroom.
