The Indian Student Association at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is a non-profit organization that opens its doors to all students of Indian and foreign origin. It serves as an interactive community space dedicated to sharing and celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage of India on campus.
Mission, Vision & Goals
Mission
To provide a homely, welcoming atmosphere for students and families coming from India while easing their transition into the university community.
Vision
To foster a culturally rich and connected campus environment where Indian traditions are widely recognized, celebrated, and integrated through cross-cultural interactions.
Goals
Promote a deep awareness of Indian traditions, cuisine, music, art, and dance forms; and host engaging cultural events all year round to facilitate meaningful connection among diverse student groups.
