The Persian/Iranian Student Association (PISA) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale serves as the representative body for Iranian students within the university system. Open to all students, faculty, staff, and Carbondale community members with an interest in Iranian culture, PISA creates an inclusive space to share and experience Persian traditions.
To represent the interests and welfare of Iranian students at SIUC, provide fellowship among students and faculty, and organize activities that reflect local values and cultural norms.
To foster a well-coordinated and vibrant campus community where diverse cultural, social, athletic, and educational events seamlessly bridge Iranian students with the broader university environment.
Represent student needs across social and educational activities; coordinate diverse community events while maintaining local cultural norms; manage organizational and institutional funding through proper university channels; and maintain structured executive leadership to oversee the association's growth and financial health.
Anahit is a Zoology student from Tehran, Iran, with a passion for wildlife, conservation, and understanding animal behavior. She enjoys traveling, visiting museums and historic sites, hiking, drawing, listening to music, and experimenting with new recipes. She also values meaningful conversations and has a natural connection with animals that inspires her studies.

Vida is a Master of Fine Arts in Design student from Tehran, Iran, with a passion for painting, photography, traveling, and arts and crafts. She enjoys expressing creativity through visual design and artistic projects, always finding ways to make ordinary things more beautiful. She loves exploring new ideas and creating meaningful, visually inspiring work.

Passionate about literature and music, he has memorized the lyrics to every Leonard Cohen song.
