The International Student Council (ISC) represents the international student body at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. ISC advocates for the issues and struggles of international students. Our executive board members are dedicated to serving and bringing together our diverse international student body.
The International Student Council is an officially recognized student umbrella organization. As an umbrella organization, ISC fosters communication and collaboration amongst the international Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on campus.
ISC partners with many different international and national RSOs to support student outreach efforts. We believe that collaboration among different student groups helps to foster a more inter-culturally aware and respectful atmosphere across our campus. We believe that student involvement has a beneficial impact on our students’ experience as a member of their RSOs, as well as the SIU community at large.
