Kaveh Javanshirjavid
Kaveh Javanshirjavid is the 2022-2023 International Student Council Secretary. He is a Ph.D. candidate who is working on soybean diseases in Agricultural Sciences at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Kaveh is originally from Iran and received his Master of Plant pathology from Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University, Sari, Iran in 2012. Apart from studies he enjoys playing sports and meeting new people and learning about the various cultures and lifestyles of people from across the globe. He believes that true communication is the key to the pursuit of happiness and peace. He believes that an integral part of studying abroad is interacting and meeting various people from different communities and hopes to be able to facilitate this experience for fellow students as part of the ISC.
