African Student Council
Mission
Our goal is to promote the exchange of ideas on, and an awareness of events in Africa, and in the African Diaspora and also promote cultural and social exchanges with American communities and with other student organizations in and outside of the university.
Grace Eniola /President/
I decided to join African Student Union’s e-board to help create a strong community and celebrate African culture on campus.
Enoch Okunlola /Vice president/
I decided to join ASU to be the change I’ve always wanted to see and implement it, while also being able to help others feel welcomed and comfortable on campus
Cierra Anderson /Secretary/
I decided to join ASU because of the friends I’ve made within it. I love the experience of learning and appreciating other people’s cultures and traditions.
Moyosore Fausiyat /Treasurer/
I joined the African Student Association to be part of a community that celebrates our culture and supports one another. I saw the treasurer role as a way to gain leadership and financial management experience, while also giving back to a community that feels like “I am a Ghanaian and a master’s degree student in Communication Studies. I am the program coordinator of the ASU”
Emmanuel Azike /Program coordinator/
I decided to join ASU to promote the African culture on campus and help grow the community for future Africans .
Bimpe /Graduate Coordinator/
Iswat Ibrahim /Undergraduate student coordinator/
I joined ASU to learn more about other cultures and also I joined the board so we could grow together and spread ASU to everyone who want to learn about different African culture and history.
