My name is Mehak Saeed, and I am pursuing a Master’s in Health Administration and Health Informatics at SIU. I am originally from Pakistan and proudly serve as a President of the Pakistan Student Association (PSA).
As PSA President, I am passionate about representing Pakistani students, promoting cultural awareness, and organizing events that bring together diverse communities. My goal is to strengthen connections between students and create a welcoming space to celebrate Pakistani culture on campus. Something fun about me is that I love cooking spicy food and live by the motto “Nothing is impossible.”

Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Chemistry at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). As the Treasurer of the Pakistani Student Association, I am committed to fostering unity within our community, promoting Pakistani culture, and creating a welcoming environment for all students. My goal is to make our time abroad more meaningful by encouraging cultural exchange, supporting personal and academic growth, and helping others appreciate the richness of Pakistani heritage.
